O U R M I S S I O N
We’re here to share stories to remind you that there’s more than one way to be a man.
What we do
However you identify, More To Men exists to help challenge traditional notions of masculinity and create empowering conversations about mental health and self-esteem for young men. A project created by non-profit organization Be More, More To Men aims to tell stories and provide resources to help young people feel empowered to be the most authentic version of themselves.
Be More
Be More is an organization committed to teaching youth the importance of self-esteem and mental wellbeing, and examining the role that social media plays in their lives. Constant, uneducated exposure to social media is creating an epidemic of kids with poor self-image, high levels of anxiety, and under-developed relationship skills.
By creating a community of support, encouragement, and empowerment through our in-school curriculum and digital campaigns, Be More teaches kids how to build each other up and prevent negative conversations and behaviors that often lead to poor self-esteem, eating disorders, anxiety, and many other mental health issues. We address these issues through two primary channels, which we see as the two places teens spend the majority of their time: in-school, and online.
We have in-school curriculum and professional development resources, youth leadership programs, a college club program, and more on the way! We are also getting started on filming a documentary to highlight the mental health impacts of social media on young people, as well as creating more digital mental health resources for teens.
